Commercial Contract Manager

Existing client is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This is a 6 month temp to hire opportunity. Must have prior vendor management and procurement experience.


The Commercial Management Lead’s (CML) role is to ensure consistent management of proposals and contracts, to include: oversight of the contract management process, fulfillment of the solicitation/amendment process, contract negotiation, and document management. The CML will maintain close collaboration with internal business partners (i.e., Service Manager, Fiscal Operations/Management, Performance Management, and Procurement); as well as perform Relationship Management, Issue Resolution, and select vendor management activities.

*Work with Procurement, Business Customers and Service Providers to execute contract changes and other contract related activities

· Leads and facilitates the development of new contracts and change requests to existing contracts under governance

· Participate and, if appropriate, facilitate the development of requirements for new contracts and requests for change to existing contracts

· Perform initial review of all new/transitioned contracts to ensure all documents/artifacts have been received

· Review of Purchase Orders and related documents (i.e., amendments) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with the corresponding contract

· Maintains responsibility and accountability for ensuring that contract file in complete, including all original contract documents, amendments, POs, and related documents

· Perform contractual review (annually and as needed) to ensure compliance with terms, identifying any conflicts (potential or actual) or changes requiring resolution

· Coordinates with relevant business areas (e.g. Procurement, Legal, IT CFO, etc.) for contract management related matters

· Owns and manages relationships between governance organization and managed services contract business owners

· Owns and manages relationship between governance organization and managed services providers whose contracts are under ITMS governance

· Owns and manages Contract Risk Management for managed services contracts under governance

· Participates in various managed contract operational and governance meetings

· Support and coordinate client on-boarding and off-boarding of Service Provider resources

· Follow-up and manage receipt and processing of Deliverables & Obligations for ‘n’ managed services contracts under ITMS governance

· Manages projects to transition governance of managed contracts from business areas (e.g. IT, Single-Family, etc.)

· Service Manager for MGS Contract Management services

· Contract Change Management Process Co-Owner

· Independent, strong interpersonal skills



· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Technology

· Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in contracts management, procurement or vendor management

Skills Requirements:

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

· Able to work independently in a fast paced environment

· Exceptional interpersonal and client skills, with a demonstrated attention to detail and ability to gain the confidence and respect of the customer

· Experienced in business process outsourcing (BPO) or IT outsourcing (ITO) operations a plus

· Experience in developing financials, and service levels for sourcing relationships a plus

· Project Management experience a plus
