Description

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong cooperative working relationships with distributors and OEM’s to enable the company to earn as much of their high-pressure coolant system business as possible. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

· Interacting with customers and engineers on pre-sale activities including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities; as well as with machine tool distributors with respect to sales related activities

· Gaining and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company

· Assisting the engineering group as necessary in the development of high pressure coolant interface and installation kits for OEM machines tools

· Collaborating within the team to identify, facilitate, and monitor promotional opportunities

· Representing the organization at scheduled sponsor events, tradeshows and conferences

· Developing, organizing and presenting educational lunch & learn seminars

· Maintaining and organizing contact lists, reports and records in Salesforce CRM

· Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of customer dynamics and the passion to follow the sales process from discovery to post sale stages. The person must possess strong, professional communication and presentation skills. The Junior Account Manager should have experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience with machine tools is not required, although technical aptitude is a must. Associate’s degree in Engineering is preferred. This position requires up to 70% of travel.

o Previous experience with machine tools and technical aptitude to learn

o Experience in opening new doors and building key relationships

o Experience with Salesforce/Microsoft products

o Ability to travel within the territory
